Table and Bench
With its tapered legs and sleek edges, the table tips its hat to mid-century modernism, although its mahogany material creates a connection to American colonial furniture. The table was created using various wood shop equipment, including CNC milling and mortise-and-tenon joinery for a continuous assembly, and a routed edge for a smooth elegant look.
The form of the bench uses sleek, organic geometry to create comfortable handles and soft edges. The bench was fabricated using CNC milling technology to form the sides from a series of rough-cut ash lumber. Mortise-and-tenon joinery was used to create a continuous form and the edges were routed prior to assembly of the bench.
